How long does it take to fit a door?

The time it takes to fit a standard internal door can vary based on a few different variables. the main variable being the condition of your existing door frames. if you live in a new build your frames should be square and level meaning the doors should fit right in. on the other hand if your house was built before the 1900's no doubt your frames would've moved drastically over the years, this makes the process abit trickier! The type of door also makes a difference, hollow doors only require 2 hinges and they're nice and light to carry around where as solid core doors need 3 hinges and can weigh 32kg+. The final variable is the layout of your property, if you live in a bungalow with all the doors in the main hallway this makes fitting the doors a breeze where as if you live in a town house taking the doors up and down the stairs will take up more time, especially as we like to do all of our cutting outside to reduce the dust inside the property. In summary it take on average 45 minutes to fit a hollow door and 1 hour to fit a solid core door with an extra 30 minutes for the handles
